Kenth Fjellborg

- Sweden’s most qualified dog sled drivers

Kenth Fjellborg is one of Sweden’s most qualified dog sled drivers. Kenth got involved in sled dogs already as a teenager and after winning his first dogsled race in 1989, he moved to Alaska to work for Joe Runyan who won the legendary Iditarod race, the toughest dog-sled race in the world, that same year. Inspired by his experiences in Alaska, Kenth returned home to establish his own sled dog kennel in Poikkijärvi. In 1994 he fulfilled his dream of taking part in the Iditarod, finishing in style among the top twenty.

Today Kenth has a kennel of around 100 Alaskan Huskies and organizes long distance expeditions in harsh climates. One of his more recent and famous expeditions was Prince Albert II of Monaco North Pole Expedition in 2006. During Fjällräven Polar Kenth will show the participants how to guide his dogs through the wild arctic tundra.
