How does it feel to have won the competition?

It feels fantastic to be chosen for this exciting adventure. It is a dream come true. This kind of thing only happens to other people!

What are you looking forward to the most about being an arctic fox volunteer?

What I am looking forward to the most is the actual work with the arctic foxes and I am really hoping to get the chance to see and experience these beautiful animals in their natural environment. I am also looking forward to sharing the experience with other people who share my interest in nature and all it can give.

What do you think will be your biggest challenge?

One of the biggest challenges will be being as prepared as possible, both physically and knowledge-wise. But the greatest challenge will be being away from my wife and two sons who I would love to share this experience with.

What do you think will be your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge will be waiting patiently for this exciting opportunity to start!

How does it feel to have won the competition?

I was honoured and truly excited when I received the message that I had won the competition ahead of so many highly motivated wildlife fans. Even that whole day, it did not really sink in that it really happened. Now that I have fully realized that I am going, my excitement continues to rise.

What are you looking forward to the most about being an arctic fox volunteer?

I am looking forward to being at the real frontline of wildlife conservation. It is a rare thing to be in a situation where you feel you can really make a difference, that you can be an active part of the efforts to save an endangered species.

What do you think will be your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge will be to hide my disappointment if we do not come across any arctic foxes.

I can say I am really excited and surprised, and I am really looking forward to be part of it. It's a lot to take right now. I still can't believe it but I am really happy about it.

What are you looking forward to most about being an arctic fox volunteer?

I am looking forward to learn more about the research and to be part of it, and I am really excited to meet the other volunteers and the arctic fox researchers Professor Anders Angerbjörn and Rasmus Erlandsson. I'm also looking forward to experience the environment of the Swedish mountains.

What do you think your biggest challenge will be?

I think the biggest challenge for me will be the physical challenge, but I am mostly looking forward to it.
