The Sarek Trekking Jacket - a modern classic

Designed for countless trips, the new Sarek Trekking Jacket is a traditional, longer cut design in our G-1000 Original fabric.

The 3-way adjustable hood is large and features a foldable visor to give more protection when needed. The two large chest pockets are easily accessible when wearing a pack and there are two more pockets lower down. Hem, waist and cuff adjustments plus leather details complete this latest classic addition to our range.

The Sarek family

The Sarek trekking Jacket is part of the sarek family, a range of clothes, which reflects our long tradition of developing durable and functional clothing and equipment for trekking in Scandinavian conditions. The collection has taken its name from the much-talked-about wilderness that is Sweden’s second largest national park.

Products in the Sarek family are characterised by robust workmanship and tried-and-tested solutions. Durability and functionality are paramount, and the garments are designed for traditional mountain trekking – longer treks with a high degree of self-sufficiency in trailless terrain.

The majority of Sarek products are made from our classic, functional G-1000 material, but there are also garments made from natural materials such as wool and cotton.

Sarek Area

Part of the great national park is the 50 km long Rapadalen Valley that leads the way straight into a majestic mountain region. The valley is known for its enormous moose, and there is also the chance of seeing bears, lynx and wolverines. The lush vegetation and many difficult river crossings make trekking down in the valley quite challenging in places.
